Pierwszy tydzień Öznur w Piekarach: zespół MDK, biblioteka i spacery po mieście

Już od dwóch tygodni gościmy kolejną wolontariuszkę – Öznur, która rozpoczęła swoją przygodę wolontariatu w MDK 2 w Piekarach Śląskich. 💙
Tutaj dzieli się swoimi pierwszymi wrażeniami z pobytu.
Cieszymy się, że jest z nami i trzymamy kciuki za jej pozytywne doświadczenia oraz nowe odkrycia w ciągu tego roku! ✨

My first week in Piekary 💙
These first days were full of views, discoveries, and new people.
My first week has been amazing! The house I’m staying in is from the 1800s and once belonged to a lord – the view is breathtaking 😍 They welcomed me with a sweet package (towel, bed sheets, a water bottle, and some local snacks 🤭), which made me so happy.
The MDK team has been incredibly kind 🫶 I visited the library and its charming small museum. Together with Özge (my fellow volunteer), we joined a dance event where people of all ages were dancing 💃 It was so much fun!
What fascinates me most is how close the city is to nature 🌿 You can walk down a street and suddenly find yourself in a forest. One of the staff members even took me to a hill where I could watch the city view through a telescope – unforgettable! The old houses, Virgin Mary figures, and street statues make the city even more special.
