JUNE

June was a month of beautiful goodbyes and unforgettable moments.

This month, I gave my final school presentations together with our English teacher Wiktoria and my fellow ESC volunteer. Looking back at all the schools we visited throughout the year, I’m grateful for every conversation, every smile, and every opportunity to share our experiences with young people.

I also traveled to Berlin to visit my sister and my nephew. Spending time with family after such a long time made this month even more special.

Back at MDK, I joined the end-of-year trips and activities, spending time with the children and young people who have become such an important part of my daily life. I also continued giving Turkish lessons, something I have truly enjoyed throughout these past months.

Whenever I had free time, I kept exploring nature—cycling through beautiful places, discovering new corners of the region, and even going swimming in the lake. These simple moments became some of my favorite memories of Poland.

As June came to an end, so did my volunteering journey in Poland. It’s hard to believe how quickly this year has passed. Poland gave me far more than I ever expected: unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, countless lessons, and a place that truly felt like a second home.

To everyone I had the privilege of meeting throughout this journey—my colleagues, the amazing team at MDK, the wonderful young people at our center, and everyone who became part of this adventure—thank you. You made this experience so much more meaningful than I could have imagined.

And a special thank you for the beautiful farewell party you prepared for me. I felt so loved, appreciated, and incredibly lucky to have shared this chapter of my life with all of you. I will carry these memories with me wherever I go.
